Can you print something when using the command-line tool "lpr"? How to start it? 1) produce a PS file: from a KDE app (like konqueror), print to a PS file 2) open a terminal 3) type: "lpr -P<printername> <file.ps>", be sure to replace <printername> with the actual printer name (without the < and > characters), and <file.ps> with the actual file to print. Michael Goffioul wrote: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] I have produce a PS file called ja, I opened a terminal and wrote: lpr -Pjo ja.ps ( the P is jo ) and nothing happened. Using this system, you should be able to send a test page to your printer. Does it work? I have tried it several times, it does not work. My Printer works with suse 8.2 Then I guess the problem lies in the driver itself. You might find some additional support at http://www.linuxprinting.org. Michael.
