Description Yuriy Kozlov 2006-05-24 04:40:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Thumbnail previews of svg files in konqueror show only the top left corner of the image. Seeing as how these are scalable vector graphics, it should be trivial and would be preferable to have make the icon a scaled-down thumbnail of the complete image.

This happens for me on Feisty and KDE 3.5.8. I went looking for a fix in the rc for thumbnailing but I haven't a clue where to look or what to look for!

It needs fixing as it makes DTP work frustrating - I am using SVG more and more with Scribus and project folders look very odd with the clipped preview.

Cheers,

Kevin

PS Point me to the right C++ file and I will try to take a look.

Could this also be related to this bug?
(preview in wallpaper select dialog also won't scale SVGs)

I can't reproduce this behavior in KDE4.
Comment 4 Jonathan Thomas 2008-12-08 22:49:39 UTC
Marking as worksforme since this is no longer reproducible in KDE4.
