Description Horacio Sanson 2006-05-22 06:50:19 UTC
Version: 1.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.4.5 Gentoo 3.4.5-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9
OS: Linux

Previous versions of Amarok (1.3.X) had an option to set the ID3 tags encoding. My collections are all in UTF-8 with Japanese text and they don't display correctly in Amarok 1.4.0 but they did display ok on 1.3.8 by setting the encoding to UTF-8 in amarok's settings panel.

Any reason why this option was removed from Amarok 1.4.0? any plans to add it back??
