not a bug What is it then? And it is not resolved, because I am the poster & I have not marked it resolved. If you want to mark it one way or the other, please advise me to do so. On another topic, I do not know why the PLATFORM shows UNKNOWN. I used the bug reporting tool inside kopete to submit this so one would think it would submit that data as well as one would think the submitted data would be accepted & displayed. Any ideas on that? Is the bug reporter or this webpage not liking each other? Thank you very much. Jason Sjobeck www.sjobeck.com Please help me mark this as resolved. Please explain. What is this output? How does one make it go away? I just had a thought so googled a bit & I am now wondering if this is coming from QT & not kopete. it's output from Qt, yes, and it's not a bug, just warnings saying that we passed it an invalid date/time and this is probably due to some old history files. that output is completely harmless. btw, I am a developer, and if i mark it as resolved, then it's resolved. I have the power to do that, you know. :) Matt, Thanks again. I am used to working in teams where the poster is the person who closes it when they feel it is in need of closing. I suppose working on a team like you do when that team is the entire planet is very different & there is the need for closing other's tickets. I am not sure if I am one of those people. I would gladly mark it closed if you asked & explained. I did not get anything in the way of an explanation of why this output was streaming in to oblibion on my console from you in your first reply. I think we have come full circle on this discussion, so I will leave it with that. I thank you for your time, effort, dedication. Keep up the great work. I love KDE. I think kopete is pretty kewl too, especially with jingle built-in, which none of the other IM clients seem to have (yet). If you want to shoot this URL over to a developer on the kopete team to get them to santiize their datetime stream, that would be appreciated. Or I am happy to if you tell me who/where/how to do so. Peace. Love. Linux. Jason Matt is (like me) a developper of Kopete. KDE bugzilla is used to help developper to track and fix bugs. Not for user asking questions If an user has a question, he should use user forum, or eventually, if he still have not the answer, the developper mailing list. In your case, you don't show us any bug to fix, it is normal that we close the bug report. To reply to your question: you can safelly simply ignore theses warnings. Thanks anyway for your interest in Kopete |
