I have imported messages from Pine using the import wizard. I then tried to copy then to an IMAP server (Cyrus) but it complains that there is an invalid header.

The only thing I can think of is the 'From' header at the very top - I note that KMail doesn't bold it like the other headers when you view the message source.

Right now I am pondering a script to munge the files, or trying to use Pine to push email into IMAP.

The additional from line is the separator in the mbox format. So there was something wrong with the import.
