Dear developers of Kile,

whenever Kile starts, the project tree ("Files and Projects") is fully expanded. I would like to minimize it such that only the names of the projects appear. The only way to do so seems to click on all "-" fields next to the project names, which takes too long if many projects are in the list. Can't you add a function "minimize project tree" to Kile?

Thanks for making Kile as powerful as it is!

Thomas

Hi,

would it be enough if we remember the current state of every item in the Files and Project (open or closed) and restore it when you load an project.
This is asked for in 125881 also.

Thanks
Thomas

Hi,

well, this is not completely what I have in mind. I'd rather have the state of every item in "Files and Project" restored whenever *Kile* is started.

No. 125881 seems to wish the opposite of what I'm asking for: The reporter "complains" that the hierarchy is always collapsed whenever Kile starts; I "complain" that it's always fully expanded. Plus I'd like to have a "minimize project tree" (= collapse) item in the Project menu or at some other place that seems appropriate to you.

Thanks for taking time.

Thomas
