*** Bug 126532 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Sorry, cross-posted in closed (duplicate). There are external tools (KDocker?) which allows to remove application from taskbar and place its icon into "system notification area". There is kwin window/application setting "skip taskbar button". There is kmenu application option "place application icon to notification area", but it removes application from taskbar only when user clicks on that icon, not when clicks "minimize" button. There is ksystraycmd console application for the similar purpose. Now that all should be integrated. For me, I'd be pretty happy with possibility to set "minimize to tray" in kwin settings, as I like to always dock many applications. This way, developers have no need to write docking code for each and every application. But an option for a single application instance will be good too. |
