Sentry Crash Report:

Description Rick Harris 2006-04-28 06:35:45 UTC
Version: 3.5.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
OS: Linux

Konqueror has problems connecting to some https sites & will throw an error "Could not connect to host"

Opera, Internet Explorer, Mozilla & Firefox all load the pages correctly.

Note that kde-3.5.1 did not have this problem, only shows in kde-3.5.2.

The only workaround for the moment is to totally disable SSLv2 and SSLv3 in Konqueror's Settings > Crypto > SSL
Enabling/disabling the different cipher combinations mentioned in the previous posts of this bug does not work, SSLv2 and SSLv3 must be totally disabled.

This is the same bug present in #118614 and #122384
Closing these bugs has not made it go away.

Here's another site as an example:
https://www1.netbank.commbank.com.au/netbank/bankmain.htm

Let me know if you want more or need any further info.
Using openssl-0.9.7i
