Bug 125904

I see that there has been several posting of this bug and even though it says "resolved" or "closed", it is still here with the latest KDE 3.5.2 in the newest distros.

Basically, I prefer using the "detailed list view" instead of the "icon view" so the first thing I do after installing is to adjust the "view mode" accordingly and save view profile "file management"

Now this works good for setting my default view however there is a problem when I attach an external hardrive.

When I attach the external hard drive it is still good initially however after moving up in the directory tree a few times, suddenly the view changes to "icon view" and becomes the default view for all new windows of Konqueror until I close all windows, go to some folder outside the external HD, correct the view and save the view profile once again.

I posted this in the mepis lovers forum and people say they have the same problem still. Someone said he has the same bug with windows drives also.

I hope this annoyance will be fixed finally.
