Version:           0.11.1 (using KDE 3.5.2, Debian Package 4:3.5.2-2+b1 (testing/unstable))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-1-486

I have a Hotmail account and when I click to open mailbox on msn butterfly menu, a konqueror window opens and tries to login at hotmail.com.
Then a loop begins, iterating over these web pages:
 1. https://login.live.com/ppsecure/md5auth.srf...
 2. https://loginnet.passport.com/ppsecure/md5auth.srf...
 3. http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/sbox...
 4. http://login.live.com/login.srf...
 5. back to number 2

It happens with version 0.11.1 on Debian Testing/Unstable.
I have tried it on Kubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Flight 6) and works properly (0.11.1 too).

I'm sorry,
It was a caused by a mess with konqueror cookies.
Sorry again, now I'll close this bug.

I have exactly the same situation happening on FreeBSD 6.0-SECURITY, KDE 3.5.2, kopete 0.11.1
KDE is updated to the latest in the ports. The bug is listed as resolved, so what is the fix for the FreeBSD version of KDE ?

Hi!
In my case, I had logged in before manually from Konqueror.
Later, when I tried opening mailbox from Kopete context menu, the loop began.
After cleaning up all the cookies from Konqueror and trying again, the logging succeeded.
I don't have FreeBSD, but I suppose this fix also applies to it.
Try it, if it doesn't work, feel free to comment again and I'll reopen the bug.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, I have tried it, no luck. I have cleared all Konqueror's cookies and the cache, and tried to open my hotmail from kopete. The same 5-page loop and no login. 
However, if I use Konqueror to go to http://ninemsn.com.au and select hotmail from there, I have no problem logging in. 
Here's my system details: FreeBSD (i386) release 6.0-SECURITY, gcc version 3.4.4, kopete 0.11.1, KDE 3.5.2 built from ports. Perhaps there is something that can be done by the freebsd-kde team?
I had no problem with previous versions of KDE/kopete.
