Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

i see two versions about the position of the artist in the collection browser.

1. all the artist separated by his name

2. all the artist separated by his name but when is a compilation all the artis of the compilaion are included in "various artists".

can you put one check box like "folder config", "show divider", in the same line. and everybody can select.
thanks

Bugs 125837, 132209, and 125689 seem related. 125689 has a patch. Maybe a developer could review that?

The problem I am seeing is when an artist is only on compilation albums, they do not appear at the first level in the Collection browser when it is Grouped by Artist at the first level.

For example I have Ani Difranco songs from CMJ CD's, but none of her albums. When I look in the context browser, I can only find her if I go under the "Various Artists" heading. She does not have a heading at the top level of the tree.

Similarly, if the Collection Browser is grouped by Artist / Album, I can only find her under "Various Artists / CMJ 110, March 2003 / Ani Difranco - In the Way".

Since I have many compilation albums, this makes it difficult to find the Artist I am looking for. When the Collection Browser is grouped by Artist, it should show every artist in my collection at the first level.

We don't intend to disable or make the Various Artist grouping optional, sorry.
