catch links like ymsgr:'ID' from web browser and open a chat window ready to pm 'ID'.there are lots of sites and weblogs that are having links like this.

I con confirm that this feature is still absent for kde 4.3.3.
Opening ymsgr is the only feature which keeps me using pidgin over kopete.

In my company we use yahoo messenger for communication and quiet often on interacting with another person we just use the ymsgr link for a quick chat.

I am surprised that none of the devs have found a use case for this feature for over 4 years

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
