First the KDE keyboard stop working in the Pentium-4, fc-5 user mode and was O.K. in AMD-64 fc-5 all modes, just now it stop working in AMD-64, too, but still works in the Pentium-3, fc-4 but I am afraid it will stop, too. Fortunately GNOME keybord works well the bug is still there: the KDE keyboard don't react if the main user is logged in. it works if adm or any additional user is logged in. May be there is some connection with this 'yum update' meassage: file /usr/share/xsessions/kde.desktop from install of kdebase-3.5.2-9.0 confli cts with file from package kdebase-3.5.2-0.4.fc5 file /etc/profile.d/kde.csh from install of kdelibs-3.5.2-4.3 conflicts with f ile from package kdelibs-3.5.2-0.2.fc5 file /etc/profile.d/kde.sh from install of kdelibs-3.5.2-4.3 conflicts with fi le from package kdelibs-3.5.2-0.2.fc5 I just installed kde 3.5.3 on fc5-amd64 but all the keys remain blocked for the main user, the keys are O.K. for root and other users, taht means that blocking the keys are initiated somewere in this user kde config file, the problem is how to unblock because kde 3.5.3 works wery well. Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you! |
