Description Daniel 2006-04-15 19:18:41 UTC
Version: svn (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

First I move a contact to top-level (so it won't belong to any group, just lays there on the top of the contact list).
If I reconnect to MSN, that contact will be in the "Top Level" group. After deleting that group and reconnecting again, it reappears (including that contact). It seems that kopete doesn't save the changes to the server side contact list. It is odd because I have other contacts in "real" toplevel, and this is the only contact which is in that "Top Level" group.
What kind of log should I attach?

Are you still seeing this problem in the latest version?

I have this problem still. It seems, that for me, Kopete doesn't update the server side contact list. The problem has got a bit simpler, however; now there is no "Top Level" group anymore.

If I move one contact out of a group, to the top, then with Kopete it stays there. But if I connect with another client (MSN Mess. or Gaim) that contact is still in its original group. To preserve the changes, I must use another client, and then get back to Kopete :)

Btw: I'm always using the latest svn version from the 3.5 branch, now with kde-3.5.5.

Do you think I should try to "reset" my contact list in Kopete (ie. delete the contactlist.xml)?
