Description Dima Ryazanov 2006-04-14 03:52:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc version 4.0.2 (Gentoo 4.0.2-r3, pie-8.7.8)
OS: Linux

I started KMail in a newly created user account.

I set up a POP3 account (with about 5000 messages) and told KMail to check for new messages every 2 minutes.

It started downloading them. A little later, while still downloading, KMail started downloading everything *again* - so the progress bar keeps jumping between two values, e.g. 46% and 62% - and every message now appears twice.

Confirm. kmail 1.9.4 (KDE 3.5.4)

kmail is set to check mail at startup and each 10 minutes. There was too much mail, and it started second download in parallel from the same account.

Additionally, it crashed when I changed mail check interval while kmail was downloading mail like this.

As far as I know this is fixed in recent kmail versions.
