Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages

After upgrading from KDE 3.4.3 to 3.5.2, the mail transport field in kmail message composition window is initially empty.  If I switch the profile, the mail transport is adjusted correctly, and I think the e-mails are all sent correctly, but showing an empty mail transport does not make sense.

did you try and go into settings and use the "set default" button to see if that changes the behaviour?
