I wish I could configure Kopete to show the email addresses of my contacts instead of their silly nicknames in the contact list and in the conversation window.

I already know I can manually enter a custom display name for each of my contacts.

I also wish i could view all my contacts vie email address as i cant remember all their display names cause they constantly change them, all the other msn messenger based applications have it already. Please could you put it in for the next release.

you can manually set a name for them, overriding the annoying changes.
right-click on the contact and select 'properties'. it's right in the
middle of the window.

however, you'd have to do that for each individual. might be a bit
tiring. like how I have to disable rich text for each individual..

This would be very handy as I prefer not to rename every contact.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
