confirmed on KDE-3.5.5 Cannot reproduce on more recent version of KDE such 3.5.8 and 4.0.2. It is still there in KDE 3.5.9. It may be necessary to clarify: with "click" I mean "click-and-release". In KMail the immediate disappearance of the context menu now happens everywhere: in the folder list, in the message list, and in the preview pane. For the first two I can't test all positions, but for the preview pane it matters where the context menu appears in relation to the mouse pointer: when to the lower-left or upper-right, the menu always stays; when to the upper-left or lower-right, the menu blinks and stays away on every second rightclick. In Konqueror it is the same as in KMail's preview pane. But in Kwrite the menu only blinks when it appears to the upper-left of the pointer. When the context menu appears to the lower-right of the mouse pointer, it is necessary to move the pinter a little, away from the menu, to see the effect. This bug is definitely not present in trunk (context menu behaves a bit differently there - odd clicks make it appear, even clicks make it disappear) - and I can't reporduce it in 3.5.9 in any of the situations listed in the report, or comment #3 |
