Description Benno Schulenberg 2006-03-31 22:20:41 UTC
Version: 2.5.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.6 (Gentoo Hardened 3.4.6, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16

The default keyboard shortcut for "Expand One Local Level" is Ctrl++, the one for "Expand Toplevel" is Ctrl+Shift++.

But the + on my keyboard is produced by Shift+=, so I cannot type Ctrl++. (Using the + on the numeric pad when typing Ctrl++ strangely enough acts as if I typed Ctrl+Shift++, so no go there either.)

Now it may be that most Kate users are Germans, :), but wouldn't Ctrl+= be a more appropriate default shortcut for "Expand One Local Level"?

It's probably impossible to find shortcuts that work in all keyboard layouts. We've been discussing this just now and decided to not change it. Please reassign shortcuts to your needs.
