A search line in the folder selection dialog can be very handy.
Attached patches implement this for 3.4.3 (tested) and 3.5 (untested).

I agree that it is a nice thing to have. Developers, would this be considered a feature? i.e. can it be applied to the 3.5 branch? In any case, I think it can be applied to trunk.

We can already filter folder (not a search line)
