Collapsing folders with single entries and using category description for them where it makes sense is a SUSE packages specific feature. Please direct comments about it to https://bugzilla.novell.com/ Addendum: which can be turned off by addding [menus] ReduceMenuDepth=false to kickerrc Thank you for the answer&tip, however I hope we understand each other. I was talking about displaying appropriate names. For example, if I install Konqueror /and only Konq./ I would like to see real entry "Konqueror" not description "Web browser". And I would like to see it in this manner: k-menu -> internet -> Konqueror not k-menu -> internet -> Web browser (category) -> Konqueror neither k-menu -> internet -> Web browser (description of Konqueror) This option you mentioned has the effect of displaying real names, yes, but also it puts every program into its category, even if there is only one program of such category. I reported this bug to novell but I wonder if it is really their fault. yes, it's a suse/novell thing. Thanks for your help, I sent a report to Novell: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=161054 For now, the answer is it is a feature :-( |
