Description Chris 2006-03-26 14:21:20 UTC
Version: Konsole V1.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.0.2 20051125 (Red Hat 4.0.2-8)

OS: Linux

Try changing the schema to White on black and saved as defaults , and then tried to close down Konsole but didnt work so it came up with a message. The application running in console doesnt respond to the close request, quit anyway? and i press yes and then when i reopen it it hasnt saved the changes... Why would it do this?? it was working fine under KDE 3.5? any advice you can give me guys?

Does this behaviour occur every time you try to "save as defaults"? Does the same happen with a newly created user?
Comment 2 Chris 2006-03-28 11:26:12 UTC
I dont need to change the schema or anything it just wont quit, but youre right it doesnt happen with a newly created user in KDE... it quits no problem... the one doesnt quit, is Called Terminal Program - Super User Mode and when it opens it has root Shell, on the bottom and has a application command when i edit it of konsole --type su, but theres another icon for konsole that has an application command of kdesu konsole which works fine and quits fine. Maybe i should just use the other one but im curious why the super user one doesnt quit properly... oh well any hints??

No crash from your description.

Looks like a RedHat/Fedora/distro issue. I would ask on their forum/bugpage/mailing lists.
