Description Christian Iversen 2006-03-23 21:12:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 4.0.3 (Debian 4.0.3-1)
OS: Linux

In the webcam window, the background seems to be repainted in grey between every frame. Sometimes the graphics will be buffered enough so that it's not a problem, but several times per second there's ugly grey flickering.

incomming or outgoing ?
which protocol ?
Comment 2 Christian Iversen 2006-03-24 15:55:46 UTC
Sorry, I should have been more clear. It happens when I view the webcam of one of my MSN contacts. I don't have a webcam myself, so I can't really say if that's a problem or not.

what client is your contact using ? the msn client or kopete ?
Comment 4 Christian Iversen 2006-03-31 12:55:08 UTC
I've tried against with 2 different contacts. They both use MSN.

I think that all of us have this problem Oliver, it's the way qt draws the image.
When the picture is refreshed you can see a redraw/tearing especially with people that have MSN and a fast connection since then there are quite a lot of pictures sent per minute and the refresh is much more noticeable.
Comment 6 Christian Iversen 2006-04-01 19:38:48 UTC
Absolutely, yes. It looks like the plain grey background is being drawn first, and then the webcam picture on top of that.

Fixed on 4.0 and trunk.
