See bug 48062, comment 15. I think this would be a good way to implement this for KDE4. It's a problem that's been obvious for *years*, and it would be nice to finally have this solved. *** Bug 136518 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 128240 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** David mentioned https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48062 and I think this report is a duplicate of it. I would rather use my side mouse buttons as global hotkeys to change song in amarok, right - next, left - prev. This bug puts konqueror at a severe usability disadvantage - iceweasel/firefox handle the additional mouse keys just fine under linux. The issue has been raised by multiple users on several occasions but has not been fixed: http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/KDE/2009-02/msg00238.html http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/387155-opensuse-11-mouse-buttons-konqueror.html http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3586104 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=174898 Also see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48062#c15 which adresses the issue from a broader angle. An old patch adding this to KDE can be found here: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kfm-devel&m=109051719121852&w=2 It appears this was never applied Maybe it could be added to kde? Dolphin would profig as well... |
