Description Janet 2006-03-17 13:55:53 UTC
Version: 3.5.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Debian Package 4:3.5.1-4 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.14-kanotix-9

I don't know why but in KDE 3.5.1 the settings:/ icon is missing in system:/ - please re-add it, system:/ isn't complete without it. Even newbies expect it to be there (look at the Windows "My Computer", there you can add it too). system:/ is often used to make a "My Computer" link. Or is it possible to add it by oneself?

Can someone please assign this bug to kio (component system) instead of konqueror?

For those who are interested in this: you can assign own entries to system:/ - put them into ~/.kde/share/apps/systemview, in this case settings.desktop with URL settings:/ - nevertheless it should be there by default, just for convenience.

I guess we can close this as it works for me and is obsolete with KDE 4...
