Sounds like a problem with your distro's printer settings. Why do you think it's a KDE problem? i dont now, ist cups demons running behind, if i make a jobwieu and opens print report i can somtimes come into a kde menu for printersetup but it vil not accept saving af new printerconfiguration problaby because im not root maby its gnome ?
