Compiler:          Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.13-15.8-default

have tried reinstall linux and tried several different options in yast hardware printer installer and tets is okay

in the printer on gnome desktop it stays as ready but cant print test from there

Sounds like a problem with your distro's printer settings. Why do you think it's a KDE problem?

i dont now, ist cups demons running behind, if i make a jobwieu and opens print report i can somtimes come into a kde menu for printersetup but it vil not accept saving af new printerconfiguration problaby because im not root
maby its gnome ?

Please make sure that your printer is set up correctly by your distro, and if there is definitely a problem with KDE, please reopen this bug.
