In the template selection dialog (opened from the new event dialog), double-clicking a template from the list should have the same effect as clicking the template, then "apply template", then "ok". Or at least, "apply template". Not having this makes the interaction chunky, so I consider this a usability bug rather than a new feature to be added. Granted, this is low-priority, and secondary to bugs such as bug #61594.

I agree with Shai. Double clicking should apply the template.

This patch allow to apply the template doubleclicking on it.

SVN commit 847268 by finex:

* When a template is applied, it will use the start/end date 
(if present).
* Apply a template with double click on template list.
