Version:           3.5.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Debian Package 4:3.5.1-2 (testing/unstable))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.13.2

When you have a background in the filemanager (View -> Configure Background...) and you select a file, the background gets distorted. It only seems to happen when you are in Tree View, Info List View, Detailed List View or Text View. Icon View and MultiColumn View do not display the problem.
As far as I know KDE 3.4 didn't have the problem.

Same problem here on my AMD64 desktop and i686 laptop both with KDE 3.5 compiled from todays SVN (KDE 3.5.2+).
