Description Stevan White 2006-02-19 17:48:25 UTC
Version: 0.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Crashes upon pulling down Save Screenshot... menu after starting movie, every time.
Happens whether movie is playing or paused.
Does not depend on movie format or media.

This is kubuntu 5.10; kaffeine is from packages.

Presumably this is related to bug 122291 - does kaffeine crash on all menu items for you? FWIW, I can't reproduce either of the bugs here. You might like to try creating a new user to see if that user has the same problem (if not, it's probably related to config settings).
Comment 3 Stevan White 2006-02-26 23:19:39 UTC
Philip,

I agree that the bugs are related.

I reported exactly the menu items that I found to crash. The others do not cause this kind of immediate crash.

I'll try the experiments you describe.

my ~/.kde/share/config/kaffeinerc file

Philip,

I tried moving the ~/.kde/share/config/kaffeinerc file instead.
This remedies a related crash (the Open menu) but with the default settings, I
don't know where to find the "screenshot" menu.

I'll bet this fixes it. On the other hand, leftover settings shouldn't crash
the app, either.

please provide backtraces if you can reproduce this issue ...
Comment 6 Christoph Pfister 2010-08-03 15:36:23 UTC
doesn't apply to Kaffeine 1.0 anymore
