I want to send an e-mail to 6 recipients. 2 of them can receive encrypted mail, 4 not. Kmail should encrypt the message, but it's not possible, because there are recipients which cannot have encrypted mail.

Kmail should split the message, and first send to all recipients which cannot have encryption, then send one-by-one to encryption users. Of course, each mail must still show every recipient, so everybody can see who received the message.

Currently, I must send without encryption, or split manually.

Open since 2006, could someone please process it?

Still, kmail can't encrypt the e-mail to those who support encryption, and send as clear to the others. But it should support that. I have recipients who only receive encrypted mails, and some don't support that at all. So I need the mix.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.

It would still be a very nice feature in kmail 2. Currently if attempting to send an encrypted email to several recipients, some of which we have gpg keys for and some we don't, we are given the choice of 'Send encrypted' or 'Send unencrypted'. A third choice should be offered, 'Send encrypted where possible'.

this feature would be really nice. currently only a single person in a larger  communication group can prevent the complete group from using pgp.

Yep, I would love this feature too. Sending to various recipients encrypted mails works fine for me. Only if there does not exist a key for at least one of the recipients kmail2 offers either to search for it or abort sending the mail. It should just proceed as if all recipients had a valid key and send to some of them unencrypted mails. A warning to inform about sending unencrypted mails would be nice.
