Version:           8.2svn (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I had the version that was in the apt-source for kubuntu, but when installed both the more recent .debs (from the site) and then the svn, the svn when starting would give me the file dialog that comes on the first run, and then hang with the splash screen showing.

I finally removed all the old rc db files and .thumbnails and .thumbs in "Pictures" and it seems to work fine now

I am not sure what do to about this bug - nothing happened since
it has been reported, there is no further support or votes for this bug.
This does not mean at all that it is not valid, but it might be that 
it does not/did not occur that often?

Would it be ok to close this bug (e.g. WORKSFORME), and if not, what
could be done to make progress here?
