Description Bob Agel 2006-02-07 15:17:55 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

After yum update of KDE to 3.5.1, DigiKam refuses to import any photos. Sample error is:
Access denied. Could not write to digikamalbums://%2Fhome%2Fbob%2Pictures@/New%20Year%202006/dscn0349.jpg
All photos are maintained in /home/bob and there are no unusual permissions issues. I have tried 'chmod 777 /usr/bin/digikam' but no difference. I have also copied and pasted new photos to the existing albums in /home/bob but still not recognized within digikam.
"yum remove digikam" followed by 'yum install digikam' does not correct the problem.
Perhaps a separate issue, but the Digikam handbook is not found/available.
As info, photos are inputted through smartcard, not direct camera link.

Bob, I'd suggest you either mention this on one of the fedora mailing lists and/or report it to bugzilla.redhat.com to see if anyone else is experiencing this.

As Rex already mentioned, please contact fedora mailing lists or digikam-users mailing list. The lack of the handbooks is neither a digikam related problem.
Maybe there is an additional fedora package with the handbook available.

The digiKam album KIO slave have been removed from digiKam 5.0.0. This problem will never appear again.
