Version:           1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu0breezy1 )
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-10-k7

Here is how to reproduce this bug:
- open a new message in kmail
- click the 'select' button for contacts

There is no filter menu anymore!
Only a few contacts from kaddressbook show!

How are we supposed to add contacts to emails now?

I can confirm the bug, using the same package version (Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu0breezy1)

I can confirm this on gentoo, using kmail 3.5.1, but I don't seem to have this problem with a clean profile.

This is pbb a duplicate of bug #121337.

The patch provided in but #121137 fixes this bug.
