"I've seen bug reports on jabber group chats (#88250, #74291 and #95140) here and read something about an incomplete (?) jabber group chat implementation." AFAIK the stable Kopete only supports the obsolete groupchat 1.0 protocol which has only limited possibilities. The new Multi-User Chat protocol introduces features that IRC people are used to (and more), like kicking and banning people, granting voice or membership, and making a room password protected or read-only for non-members. I preffered kopete more than yet if this wish become true *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat. |
