How does your usual configuration in the mentioned control center module look like? I am especially interrested in two options in the Tab "Activation gestures". If the option "Use gestures for activating sticky keys and slow keys" is set it is the usual behavior that the keyboard configuration changes after you (accidently) used a gesture. If the option "Show a confirmation dialog whenever a keyboard accessibility feature is turned on or off" is _unchecked_ it is normal behavior that you are not informed about the the keyboard configuration change. If you want to be informed, I would recommend to activate the latter option. I am using KDE 4.3 with openSUSE 11.1, installed from the Factory repository. I got unexpected disabling of my keyboard, it would not accept any input. This only affected one user. Keyboard functionality returned after _unchecking_ 'Use slow keys'in System Settings > Accessibility. I did not select this setting myself, I usually leave the Accessibility settings alone as I have no need for them. Bob Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you! |
