Using Date side bar view, you select your picture by date. Copy & Paste is implemented on current implementation. Just use it to copy the selection in Albums sidebar view... Gilles Caulier But this does not allow to move the files, right? You want said by Cut & Paste (CTRL+X & CTRL+V) ? If yes, well... no, but we can do it. But i would to have more viewpoints about... Gilles Caulier I think that Cut&Paste would be the functionality. However, what happens, if a user does a Cut (maybe even accidentally) and then quits the programm. Would that mean the files could get lost? Would an Undo for Cut be needed? Best, Arnd In this case nothing is lost because the original file is deleted when user paste to the target place. But they can be others cases where Cut/paste operations can be dangerous. Is others photo managements programs (under win32 for example) provide this functionality ? Gilles Caulier All functionality exist in digiKam, create album, go to dates, find your date, Ctrl-C, switch to albums, go to album, paste, return to date, delete images. Best solution would be if you could just drag'n'drop from one view to another. But when hovering dragged pictures over tab they are not activated, is it some KDE limitation? Mik,

No. It's not yet implemented in sidebar widget from digiKam core
