There is an option to enable smeley with spaces or not (it's in the emoticon tab of the appareance config) this solves only the problem with lacking spaces. Still, the smileys are not displayed in a consistant way: * smileys in user list * smileys in user info pop up if the smiley is in the name * no smileys in user info pop up for away messages * no smileys in user name in chat window * not sure about user state change pop ups forgot to reopen, see previous comment when I tried to fix this, I was told it was a 'feature', iirc. they didn't want smileys in usernames in chatwindows, even though the usernames in the contactlist have them. the removal of smileys in chatwindow usernames can make things even more inconsistent sometimes, 'cause it's not perfect, especially when a user changes their name. it is only a feature if the user can control the behavior. This bug (if it is considered one) is still present in kde4 (Kopete 0.50.80). yeah, we need to be consistent everywhere, IMHO Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat. |
