Version: 0.18 (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Viewing log files is hardly supported. Currently, "open log (CTRL+O)" is only available while logged into the respective channel, and most text editors provide a more convenient view of the log files anyway. The following should be implemented:

(1) Ability to view logs while offline.
(2) Some selection dialog should show all available logs, sorted after channel and session (as a tree, like e.g. music files in amarok).
(3) Displaying only part of the log is OK for big logs, but the displayed part should be selected by date/session, not by size of file tail. Maybe split log files according to date/session (as wished in Bug 106543).
(4) When displaying logs, the current highlighting settings should be applied.
(5) It should be possible to save (selected parts of) logs to HTML, preserving the current highlighting. This should be a general option for all chat tabs (whether they show logs or ongoing sessions).
