Version:           3.4 (using KDE 3.3.2, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.3 (Mandrakelinux 10.2 3.4.3-7mdk)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-6mdk

Notes saved are duplicated a number of times at system restart. Usually 15 copies of each appear at reboot.

Please delete your $KDEHOME/share/config/kresources/notes/stdrc.

confirmed. Each notes is listed several times if they exist when knotes start.

oh didn't see that duplicate 96691 :)
removing ~/.kde/share/config/kresources/notes/stdrc as commented in 96691 solved the issue.
