This is in addition to being able to right click the system tray icon and choose 'Online' or 'Offline' for all accounts? There's also the 'connection status' plugin which sounds like it's for exactly this behavior, connecting when your connection to the internet is available, and disconnecting when it isn't. I also disagree with a global keyboard shortcut for toggling. If the main reason for having a global shortcut, from your comments, is to keep from having to activate or 'make visible' any kopete window, and you don't have the kopete icon in your system tray, then you'd have to make sure notifications were enabled to be sure if you were currently connected or not, or if the connection/disconnection was successful or had errors. I would say one keypress for connect, and one for disconnect; seems to me a keyboard shortcut without feedback by default shouldn't toggle. I can cornfirm this wish. If I click status (in the toolbar) ->Online, I expect every account of my identity to be connected! Created attachment 40882 [details]
After clicking Status->Online (toolbar) Jabber account is offline.
