After saving this KDEs BTS shows "kdevelop" as product. That wasn't what I wanted to get on searching for the file dialog. Maybe I am wrong, so somebody might forward that wish to where it should be placed. Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates. It looks like the xdg spec only supports bookmarks to directories: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/recent-file-spec/recent-file-spec-0.2.html Indeed. We could do a KDE-specific thing the way GNOME did when they implemented this feature in Nautilus, but that would probably not be very nice. Better to get a cross-desktop spec for it first. I've tested with nautilus, I couldn't add a bookmark for a file to the side panel, only dirs. Ah no, they have a "starred files" feature which makes files you've starred show up in a special view. I guess it's different from this. |
