Could it be that you upgraded your system as well? Torsdag 22 december 2005 05:51 skrev Tom Albers: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] Oh yes and I am quite suspicious that it is because of the upgrade to 3.5. Torsdag 22 december 2005 05:51 skrev Tom Albers: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] Actually it depends on what you mean by upgrading system. I am still running fedora 3, but I did upgrade to kde 3.5. The feature that I lost was an absolutely amazing feature, allowing me to actually find my way around the various avi-files, so it was bad to loose it :-) Ok, probably you missed something from the kde multimedia module, but i keep forgetting what you need to install for it. We should put it in our faq. Torsdag 22 december 2005 08:18 skrev Tom Albers:

When you remember please let me know. I use yum to update and I have both a
very recent kemultimedia and kdemutimedia-extra installed

Torsdag 22 december 2005 08:18 skrev Tom Albers: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] Solved, the packager from kde-redhat had divided up kdemultimedia, so there now is a kemultimedia-nonfree. Once that was installed it works again. Thanks ok, great! Since 5.2.0 release, digiKam use QtAV to support Video files through ffmpeg, including thumbnails rendering This kind of dysfunction will never appear in the future, as video codec come from digiKam as well with ffmpeg.
