I agree. At the very least, the option in Accessibility ("Use system bell") should be mirrored in Sound and Multimedia -> System Bell. As is, it is possible to create an inconsistent state. I am using 3.5.5: To reproduce: 1. In Accessibility -> Bell, uncheck "Use system bell", Apply, check "Use system bell", then Apply once more. 2. In Sound & Multimedia -> System Bell, uncheck "Use system bell instead of notification". Apply. 3. Go back to Accessibility -> Bell . It will be unchecked. Expected results: Both "Use system bell" options are unchecked, so one would expect the system bell to be disabled. Instead, it is still enabled. People are much more likely to look for this option under Sound & Multimedia than under Accessibility. Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you! |
