This is not a help forum. This is a bug reporting site. Have you tried the following: - verifying that /dev/fd0h1440 exists? - verifying that it isn't named /dev/fd0u1440? - using setfdprm? - upgrading KDE 3.5? KFloppy in KDE 3.2.x is broken. There is a work-around in two steps: - "full format" the disk - "quick format" the disk (The problem is that "full format" does not do the part done by "quick format", unlike what is needed.) Otherwise, KFloppy (including this problem) was fixed in later KDE versions (in parts: KDE 3.3.1, KDE 3.4 and KDE 3.5). Have a nice day!
