Description Nick Warne 2005-12-13 20:34:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 -march=athlon-tbird -Os
OS: Linux

I use different desktops for different apps.

In desktop 2 I have Konqueror. In desktop 8 I have Kmail. These are fixed to these desktops.

If I am in desktop 2, browsing the web, and then click a `mailto' link, correctly Kmail opens up a `new message' dialogue window which I then can mail _from desktop 2_.

But! if I now go back to desktop 8, and (e.g.) open up Kmail Settings->Configure Kmail, that dialogue window 'remembers' where the last window opened, and opens the config window in desktop 2 (instead of desktop 8).

So basically, until I restart kmail, all new detached window dialogues will now always open in desktop 2.

I have Konq and Kmail set to always use desktops 2 and 8 respectively.

I hope you understand my drivel.

Thanks,

Nick

I can't reproduce this with KDE 4.3.1. Seems to be fixed.
