Version:           1.2.0_devel (using KDE 3.4.3, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.12-gentoo-r6

start kst (no quickstart dialog)
use the data wizard to create not xy and psd's "XY and PSD plots in separate new windows"
The XY end up in W2, and the PSDs in W3.  W1 is there empty.

Instead, if W1 is empty, the XYs should be in W1 and PSDs in W2.

I'm assuming that W1 is already present when you start the wizard. If so, then I don't see this as a problem - the wizard clearly states "new" windows.

What if I create a new window in addition to W1, so I now have two empty windows (W1 and W2). Should the XY go into W1 and the PSDs into W2?

What if the empty window isn't called W1? Should any empty window(s) be used?

I would suggest the current behaviour is fine.

This was fixed on the weekend.  The commit log was never processed somehow.
