Seems duplicate of 121744 : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121744 *** Bug 133486 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Same with firefox / mozilla-kaffeine starter and kaffeine 0.8.3 *** Bug 140371 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 143580 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 144077 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Re: Comment #1: the backtrace seems to be different than the one in bug 121744. I cannot confirm this crash anymore with Kubuntu Feisty / KDE 3.5.6. I had to manually install the kaffeine-mozilla package and uninstall kmplayer-konq-plugins so that "Kaffeine Player" gets used with the URL (http://www.chilloutzone.de/files/05110803.html). Marking as RESOLVED. Please re-open (or create a new report), if this still happens to you with up-to-date packages. The video gets displayed inline with Konqueror and through the kaffeine-starter plugin with Firefox here. ii kaffeine 0.8.3-0ubuntu7 ii kaffeine-mozilla 0.4.3.1.dfsg-0.1 ii kaffeine-xine 0.8.3-0ubuntu7 The video on the link in this report works OK for me as well, but I do not think this report has the same issue I reported in Bug 143580: konqueror crashes when opening the main WEB page at cbs.com. My report was marked as a duplicate of this one, but the WEB site in this report works OK for me, but not at the cbs site ... Try to go to http://www.cbs.com/ For me, konqueror crashes with a xine error as follows: Xine Error: No plugin found to handle this resource (http://www.cbs.com/common/vplayer2/rm_iframe.html?id=1407&ord=48473.89894932224) Details: 12:31:19 PM: xine: couldn't find demux for >http://www.cbs.com/common/vplayer2/rm_iframe.html?id=1407&ord=48473.89894932224< 12:31:19 PM: input_http: content length = 18184 bytes 12:31:19 PM: xine: found input plugin : http input plugin I click OK to the dialog and it closes. Konqueroe either freezes, or crashes (usually crashes). The KDE crash handler reports Konqueror crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV). () I use Mandriva Linux 2007.1 with KDE 3.5.6 For me (debian unstable/ kde 3.5.6) this doesn't crash, yet the video is not displayed using the embedded kaffeine player. It can be viewed correctly using the standalone kaffeine application. As I was informed on #kaffeine, this bug should be solved in kaffeine 0.8.4 compiled to use xcb. Right - the root of the problem is the same as in bug #114198 and therefore also the solution .... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 114198 *** |
