I see I didn't get the information with the report. I'm on gentoo 2005.1 on a AMD64 (running 64 bit). I will comfirm this problem...there is also a problem with tar:/ getting enabled when double-clicking on a .tar.gz file. Works under /home/$USER/ but not system:/ This is not a problem of kio_system nor of KIO itself. The .desktop files for those applications have to be adjusted. Thanks. To others with this problem: .desktop file for oowriter2. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Encoding=UTF-8 Terminal=false Icon=ooo-writer2 Type=Application InitialPreference=2 Categories=Application;Office;X-Red-Hat-Base;X-SuSE-Core-Office; Exec=ooffice2 -writer %U MimeType=application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text;application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text-template;application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text-web;application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text-master;application/vnd.sun.xml.writer;application/vnd.sun.xml.writer.template;application/vnd.sun.xml.writer.global;application/vnd.stardivision.writer;application/msword;application/vnd.ms-word;application/x-doc;text/rtf;application/vnd.wordperfect;application/wordperfect Name=OpenOffice.org 2.0 Writer Comment=Create and edit text and graphics in letters, reports, documents and Web pages by using Writer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Changed "Exec=ooffice2 -writer %U" to "Exec=ooffice2 -writer %f" and it works.
