Description Andreas Beckermann 2005-11-28 00:23:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Try this with the semi-static installer package:
1. install it and exit the installer.
2. start the installer again.

Result:
* The "Install Path" is grayed out, you cannot enter anything (the previous installation path is entered)
* The "Base Install" option is checked and grayed out
* Clicking on "Begin Install" gives Message Box "Please select at least one option"

The messagebox is totally nonsense, as there is only one option and that is checked and cannot even be unchecked.

The correct behaviour would be to open a messagebox (instead of the normal installation window) "the game already is installed. uninstall it? yes/no".

It actually took me 5 minutes to figure out that I already had an old version installed. A normal user would never find out at all.

Unfortunately this cannot be fixed in our cvs, as it's a loki installer bug, I believe. So we should
a) report the bug to the corresponding bts or
b) fix it on our own + submit a patch

Unfortunately, Boson is no longer maintained.

we're closing out all the boson bugs in Bugzilla since there is no chance of them being fixed.
