Description sas 2005-11-26 06:57:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

When using konsole it's a very common and time-consuming task to use the mouse to select text, and the right-click to copy and then right-click again to paste.

While you can assign shortcuts to the copy & paste operation, there's no way (known to me, at least) to mark the text just using the keyboard.

It would be great have a shortcut to enter some kind of "select-mode" in wich you could move around the screen as if you where inside kate, select text (column mode selection available too, in case I might want to paste it into some other app), and then, maybe pressing the esc key, you'd be back at the prompt ready to paste the selected text.

With this feature, I could completely forget about the mouse when using konsole ;-)

Saludos and thanks a lot for your attention
